Lovely guided forest walks, suitable for all age groups. This trail at Mountbellew woodland is one of the top 5 walking trails in County Galway. Along the trail are magnificent oaks, sitkas and Norway spruces. The river shevin flows through the area and an artificial lake adds to the beauty of the woodland. The silka deer roam freely within the walled gardens of the forest park. There is free parking available at the local Museum for all who wish to participate in the walking trail. Also along the route there are several picnic areas for walkers to relax.
