If you are able bodied, a walker or a hiker/runner, you will have no trouble getting around on foot. St Marys is the Gateway to Cumberland Island via ferry. It is one wonderful experience for young and old. For those who have difficulty with mobility, there is the LAND & LEGACY TOUR. This tour is available by reservation and you are taken in a van with guided touristas over the unpaved roads to see the historical beauty as well the natural beauty of Cumberland Island. If you want to get to the beach, take the on foot path directly across the island for the shortest path. Read up before you go to get the best experience and make your ferry and park reservations well in advance to avoid disappointments.

The only breakfast place to stop for a coffee and a bagel. They even have a bagel with cream cheese, salmon, etc. I do miss my deli from the old neighborhood. Basic breakfast and lunches. Open to approx. 2pm.

You have to get out of downtown, historic St Marys for this authentic Mexican breakfast and lunch café. Family owned and run. Everything is cooked to order and is fantastic. A locals favorit (mine!) Not more than 5 mins from my house. Highly recommend!
