Waterton is one of Canada's National Parks and it's only 30 minutes from Pincher Creek. It's a great day trip with lots of things to do based on your what to do list.
Theres more than ample hiking at all levels to some great sights, lakes and well know destinations around the park
Wild life all over the place such as birds, chipmunks, squirrels gophers etc. We have many deer, lots of elk and occasionally moose wonder around freely. Now the fox, coyotes and bears are a different story and you should always have Bear Spray on hand and know how to use it when hiking.
There some great accommodations there also if you choose to stay along with some amazing food. The leisurely walks around town are fun as well as the sights, have your camera on hand for sure.
If you want to canoe, kayak, paddle board or bike around there's rental there. Scuba diving goes on for many months of the year as there is a special attraction there! You can fish and even take a tour boat ride into the US side of the lake.
If you venture farther outside the gate your can travel to Cardston or even to Glacier National Park on the US side of the Boarder and don't forget your passport if your go there!
