Historic site, and within walking distance of the unit! Explore the great trails north to the Telegraph Station, have a coffee and cake at the Trail Station cafe, and hire a mountain bike if you have time and get onto those trails for a great adventure.

The bike path to Simpson's Gap starts from Flynn's Grave, but can be accessed on bike paths nearly the entire way from the unit. The dedicated bike path to Simpson's Gap is 17k and makes a great day trip. Ask us for more details if you're interested.

Nice walk into town for the movies. There are arthouse movies on at Araluen on Monday nights at 7pm, so that's another option to look out for something different.

A little gem hidden away in Alice, around the corner from our favourite whole food store (Afghan Traders, on the corner at Smith St). Great coffee and lunch spot at Hele Crescent, at the food van 'The Coffee Horse'. Mid Merry Yoga also operates from here too.

Authentic woven crafts and objects by women of the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunyatjatjara Women's Council. We worked out in the Central Desert area and saw this fabulous social enterprise at work in the communities. A must see craft enterprise with a feel-good social cause.
