Nice market for some of the "gringo" items that aren't available at the grocery store. They also have fresh quiche, bakery items and other edibles along with some souvenirs and a nice wine selection.

Stam's is located in the back of the center behind Citrus and is a nice local hangout. It has a large selection of Belgium beers and now french wines as well.

A fantastic place to have cocktails in the upper bar area-especially as the sun is setting and then down to the restaurant. No reservations needed. Wonderful staff and great food.

Absolutely some of the best pizza anywhere! The owners brought their pizza oven from Brooklyn and the crust is everything--along with the best toppings and seasoned oils if you want. Great with a beer or wine and nice atmosphere. They also now have bagels and sandwiches.

Excellent food close to Ojochal. Great for lunch and dinner with wonderful staff and atmosphere. We love all of their fish dishes and the sushi!

Such a cool surprise to try this place. It's next to the dinosaur gas station behind the farmacia, outdoor cafe and ice cream shop. A small restaurant but with beautiful decor and live music on the patio outside when we were there on a Saturday. The outside patio is surrounded by waterfall fountains. The staff were very nice and helpful and we were very impressed with the sushi. Can't wait to go back!

Soda Ojoche is a relatively new soda in Ojochal. Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner with a menu that changes daily so good to follow them on Facebook to see if they're grilling today or focusing on pizza. As with most places here, find them on Facebook for more info and use Waze to find them although they are right on the main road of Ojochal.

One of our favorite places to stay close to the airport for the evening after we first arrive or for early morning flights from SJO. They're free shuttle service to/from the airport is fantastic. This is a funky, Costa Rican hotel with a nice restaurant and bar. The service is exceptional.

One of our favorite neighborhood beaches. It has a bay area on one side for swimming or paddle boarding and lots of trees for shade. Please note this playa was closed for improvements in 2022 so check if it is open.

Another beautiful beach about 15 minutes from the house. There are caves for exploring during low tide and vendors for food, souvenirs, and drink on the beach if you want to visit them. Lots of palm trees available for shade or you can rent a tent from a local vendor if you wish.

Entrance fee is about $6 per car and parking is about another $2. You can rent surfboards/boogie boards at the entrance.

A guide for the walk through the park is a must--especially to spot sloths. The end of the tour leaves you at the unbelievable beach, rife with monkeys and other wildlife.

This beach is between Uvita and Dominical and liked by families. This is a long, pretty beach with lifeguards and parking close to the beach. Please note that the short, dirt road can be rough after heavy rains.
