The perfect place to get away from it all to relax or lose yourself in nature.
Drumlanrig is such a fun place all year round. There are excellent well
maintained mountain bike tracks for all ages and experience. There is an adventure playground for kids and endless walks where we enjoy playing hide and seek. The beautiful gardens are open in the summer months and you can enjoy guided walks around the castle. (Access to the castle and tea room has been suspended due to COVID-19 for summer 2020). The River Nith runs through the Estate and fishing permits are available to purchase. There are various activities throughout the year. (Tough Mudder, Marathon/1/2 marathons, Christmas and Summer Fayres, Yoga for Sports, Galloway Country Fayre, Buccleuch Property Challenge and various charity events). All information is available on the Drumlanrig Estate Website.

Debbie welcomes our guests to visit her extremely cute Alpacas. You will get a chance to feed them, and trek through our beautiful countryside alongside them. Debbie is very friendly and knowledgeable and enjoys having people of all ages from lone travellers to large groups.

And with a sizeable group of traditional musicians living in the village and surrounding countryside our pub sessions are amongst the finest. They host folk festivals, beer festivals and Michaelmas Bluegrass Festivals.
