Recommend you start at the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center where exhibits, orientation movie, and restrooms are available year-round. The information desk is staffed in the summer and on the weekends from late December to late March.
During summer season, a hike to Hurricane Hill on a clear day can offer a 360-degree view, north across the Straits of Juan de Fuca to Victoria, Canada or the southern view of the glacier clad Mount Olympus. While walking the hiking trail view sub-alpine flowers like lupine, Indian Paintbrush and avalanche lilies. Be listening for the whistle of a marmot, which are frequently seen and heard in this northwest Washington area. Whistle back to the marmot and he will whistle back to you.

Shortly beyond the Mount Storm King Trail junction, head right towards Marymere Falls. The trail crosses Barnes Creek and then Falls Creek before ascending 200 feet into the mossy, fern-laden ravine. Here the trail forms a loop, offering two viewpoints of the 90-foot-high waterfall.

At the junction, follow the left path, continuing upstream under a towering green canopy of conifers and maples. Sword ferns and carpets of moss line the wide, well-maintained trail. Shortly beyond the Mount Storm King Trail junction, head right towards Marymere Falls. The trail crosses Barnes Creek and then Falls Creek before ascending 200 feet into the mossy, fern-laden ravine. Here the trail forms a loop, offering two viewpoints of the 90-foot-high waterfall.
Enjoy this paved trail, ending at the beautiful Madison Falls. Easily accessible, the trailhead starts right after you enter through the park. Follow a trail that bends around the trees, and stop at the wooden rail to view the creek through the branches, and continue to the falls. Benches sit at the very end, to watch the water tumble down.
