Big Intervale Fishing Lodge

At the far end of the gravel road is an unlikely restaurant and bar, one of the best in this part of Cape Breton. They are open most of the year, check their facebook page for up to date hours. I usually get the scallops, but everything is good.

Sightseeing

Cape Clear

Adventurous people can take the logging roads on top of the mountains to this scenic cliff that overlooks the valley and the winding Margaree River. Easy to get to on skidoo or quad, you can also drive there in a car in summer if you have a good 4WD. Take Fielding Rd. in Margaree Valley just by the Red and White store. It's also possible to hike there through the valley, but that does take some planning.
