The quaint city of Mackinaw at the tip of the mitten is 50 mintues away and with so much to see and do, a day trip here is a must! You can shop, site see, take the bridge over to the UP, check out historical sites like Fort Michilimackinac or visit one of the many museums. Across the bridge is St. Ignace, which is another GREAT town to visit with a lot to do. Did I mention the UP is kind of like stepping into a whole new unique place!?

The winter's up here are cold, snowy and can be icy! Pack accordingly! Not to mention the cabin is very cozy when it's snowing, so a comfy sweater and pj's never hurt!
The summer and fall are beautiful, and you will want to get outside to enjoy! Pack your hiking and outdoor gear!
