Makkala Gudi Betta is just a two minute drive from Ayra Mané. The best time to travel is either early in the morning or before sunset. We suggest that tourists always travel in a group and not alone as it isn't always safe for solo travellers. It is a very calm and blissful place where you can just relax and enjoy a cold breezy day. Honnamana Kere is the biggest natural lake in Coorg. It has a historical significance to it. A deity known as Goddess Honnamana sacrificed her life for the welfare of the people and a temple was erected in her honour. It is about half an hours drive from Ayra Mané.

Somwarpet is the closest town to Ayra Mané. It is a 20 minute drive. Sandy days are on a Monday and is advisable to avoid Mondays as the town gets really crowded. There are supermarkets and stores that provides your day to day basic necessities.

No Public transportation

One should commute with their own vehicles as there is no concept of taxis. He/ She can travel by bus if they are aware of their surroundings and the place. Tourists who wish to travel by bus, can only get onto a bus in Kushalnagar or Madikeri. There are Volvos and Rajahamsa buses to Kerela, Mysore and Bangalore.

As we have a lot of tourists travelling to Coorg, we do not tolerate littering. Kindly request guests and tourists to refrain from throwing plastic and food items on the road or at tourist spots. Keep the environment healthy and clean.

Pack according to your trip

It is advisable for guests to always pack warm as it gets really cold in the evening and sometimes even in the mornings. Coorg experiences rainfall for almost 6 months in a year. Request you to bring shoes if you are planning to go for walks in the estates as slip-ons are not suitable.
