You will be basically surrounded by 4 of the top-rated Vineyards in the entire region. By names Ravines Wine Cellars, McGregor Vineyard, Weis Vineyards and Domaine LeSeurre Winery and all within a 5 minute drive of the cottage. A map will be awaiting you on arrival on the coffee table pinpointing each one. A fifteen minute drive to Hammondsport to visit Bully Hill Vineyards and/or Dr. Frank's Vinifera Wine Cellars is also highly recommended.
If craft breweries are your thing, you're in for a treat! And all just a 15-20 minute drive from the cottage.

Dining
Hammondsport (15 minute drive) has great eateries and is a cool little town to just walk around. Few years ago voted the coolest small town in the country (I think every resident voted at least 100 times each but never the less a cool place to just walk around and dine). A few recommendations include Timber Stone Grill, Union Block Bistro, Village Tavern, Hammondsport Park Inn and the Aroma Coffee Art Gallery.... all great.

Hammondsport
Hammondsport (15 minute drive) has great eateries and is a cool little town to just walk around. Hiking/Sightseeing
I recommend the Gorge Trail at Watkins Glen State Park (15 min drive) Bring your camera! Also, Keuka Outlet Trail (20 min drive to Penn Yan) plus Sugar Hill State Forest (Watkins Glen 15 min drive) and if you are adventuresome and want a great hike Letchworth State Park, referred to as the Grand Canyon of the East (everybody raves about it). It's a 50 min drive from the cottage and worth the drive, with maybe a stop in Naples for a bite.
