Beautiful walk, bike ride around the lake, shady, bridge. 2500 South Pedrick Rd Tallahassee FL 32317 https://visittallahassee.com/trails/j-r-alford-greenway-trail/ In terms of outdoor spaces, the J.R. Alford Greenway is one of Tallahassee’s most popular parks. With more than 17 miles of multi-use trails, this park offers a wide variety of activites to satisfy every type of nature lover including cyclists, runners, horseback riders, hikers, and dog walkers. There is ample parking available at the entrance to the park where visitors can enjoy the gorgeous view of the wide open greenway. The open terrain contains a crushed oyster shell path that can be followed into Tallahassee’s iconic and naturally wooded forests. Another entrance, located to the right of the greenway, will lead you to the magnificent Lafayette Heritage Trail. Unpaved, this trail will send you past a short span of large trees and over a gorgeous, wooden boardwalk styled bridge, built high above the railroad tracks with gorgeous views overlooking Piney Z Lake. Past the bridge, the path becomes unpaved again and shaded with enormous trees. Featured Uses: Running, walking, horseback riding, bird watching and cycling. Leashed dogs are permitted. Park Access: 2500 South Pedrick Road, (south end of Pedrick Road) Tallahassee, Fl. 32317 Amenities: Parking, portable restroom, horse trailer parking, water fountains, mister unit and park benches.

The 17 miles of trails throughout the greenway are open to the public for non-motorized use from sunrise until sunset.
