A fun and lively place to have a good dinner and cocktails. Good lunches and a fun Sunday Brunch. I recommend the Butternut Squash Casserole (for veggie option) or the ribs (yum).

This is an absolute must if you want to experience authentic Northern New Mexico food and a place that's been around for over 50 years. It's a classic. Expect a wait, but it's worth it. I always get the same thing: ground beef enchiladas with red chile. The house margarita is great.

A true Santa Fe classic, this is the go-to breakfast spot. It's been around forever and the food is solid and the atmosphere fun. Nothing fancy, but really good, solid food.

This is my personal go-to favorite for an afternoon or early evening cocktail. Frequented by celebrities that are making movies in Santa Fe, this is both a local favorite and a great people-watching spot. Ask for Eric and tell him "Sara sent you!"

This is a great local place for breakfast or lunch. It's an old-school country feed store and also a quaint cafe on the other side. It's about 10 minutes from your Casita, headed north on Highway 14 toward Santa Fe.

A must stop for visitors to the area. Best green chile cheeseburgers and fries around. Awesome margaritas. The Mine Shaft has been featured in many movies that have been filmed here and is a great place to people watch and check out the locals...also known as "Madroids". They are very unique. Another added benefit is that it's about 15 minutes from Hat Ranch Gallery Compound. Turn right at Highway 14 and drive until you get there. It's a fun place.

THE spot to visit (if you haven't already) this art installation experience is an absolute must. George R.R. Martin bought an old bowling alley and joined forces with hundreds of local artists and built an absolute mind-blowing adventure. It is suitable for ages 1-100. Plan on purchasing your tickets in advance and plan on a couple hours to go through it. It's worth it.

Take a drive about 10 minutes from your Casita at Hat Ranch Gallery and experience the Village of Cerrillos. The town that time forgot. Many a movie has been filmed here and Mary's Bar is famous for it's eclectic atmosphere. Visit Tod and Pat Brown's Cerrillos Trading Post and you can see for yourself the little wonders that make this Village so special.

Experience the village of Madrid nestled in a narrow canyon in the Ortiz Mountains, located 15 minutes from Hat Ranch Gallery Compound and your Casita. Once a historic coal mining town and ghost town, Madrid is now a creative community with over 40 shops and galleries, several restaurants, a spa and museum. A couple miles north is the quaint village Cerrillos that includes a state park with hiking paths and horseback riding.
