Less than a mile away, the Des Moines Art Center is a great place to visit. Take a visit to the art center itself, or around the back to stroll through the winding trails of the historic rose garden. Further down the park is a beautiful pond with historic art throughout, a new playground and splash pad for the kids is located up the hill at Greenwood Park.

Very cool place to visit! Centered in a giant grassy courtyard near bars, restaurants, and downtown events. Take a solo walk or bring your family and view all of the large-scale sculptures. Check if there are any local events being held there or food trucks set up!
