The Best Eats on the Mountain
Arguably the best pizza in California. Definitely the best pizza on the mountain. We like to get Lou Eddie Special (Substitute pepperoni for artichokes). The ambiance is charming too. You can also get some to make at home, which is great if you don't have time to wait. 30 minutes is normal on a weekday, and an hour and a half on the weekends.

A Secret Hike
Up Sonoma at Brentwood is an entrance to one of the best hiking spots in Lake Arrowhead. It isn't on most maps, but it's beautiful. You can do a nice 15 minute hike up, and at the fork you can go right or left. To the right, are multiple paths with varying times and stunning views of Silverlake.

Check the Weather
Even though we're only 90 minutes from Los Angeles, we can have very different weather. When it is snowing, you'll need to have a 4-wheel drive car, or put chains on your car. Every once in awhile the electricity goes out! We have lots of blankets to keep you warm, but the internet won't come back on until the power does. It's only happened 2 times in the almost 4 years we've been up here.

Watch For Wildlife
We have lots of animals around. Do not leave any food outside, do not throw garbage that has any food in it in the outside garbage cans. Raccoons will eat anything left outside. Coyotes can be seen at dawn and dusk. And bears are also in the area, although, we've never seen any on our property.
