Another great breakfast/brunch spot in a house-like setting. This one is closer to the condo than McKay's cottage. It's also very busy so don't go if you're in a rush.

Parking is a bit tricky but it's worth it in my opinion. Fantastic fish tacos & wraps. The wrap of Khan is my favorite. They occasionally have live music here.

All of the tables have a deck of conversation cards that make lunch/dinner more interesting. Yummy wood fired pizzas here. More of a locals place that you wouldn't just come across in your tours of downtown or Old Mill.

This place is a little of everything. It's one of the best McMenamins in our opinion. The movie theater with the couches and food service is our absolute favorite. It's like a gigantic living room full of couches with a little restaurant attached and service throughout the movie. Get there early. Fills up quick. And the rest of the place includes a restaurant, and so many cool bar nooks with great live music most weekends (often free). Located downtown on Bond.

Parks & Nature
Nice park just a mile from the condo. We ride our bikes or walk from the condo down to this park and then along the path to the Old Mill District. If you do the 3 mile loop walk along the Deschutes from our condo, it will lead to this park about halfway through your hike.

Farewell Bend Park
1000 SW Reed Market RdNice park just a mile from the condo. We ride our bikes or walk from the condo down to this park and then along the path to the Old Mill District. If you do the 3 mile loop walk along the Deschutes from our condo, it will lead to this park about halfway through your hike.
You can hike or drive to the top of Pilot Butte to get a fantastic view of the city and the Cascade Mountain Range.

This little park sits just off the downtown area right on the Deschutes River. Great place to chill for a bit after you stroll the downtown shops. We like the little coffee shop that sits in the park just beside the parking lot behind the downtown shops. You can sit on the deck and drink coffee while watching the river scene.

Virginia Meissner Sno Park is 13 miles SW of Bend on the right side of Century Drive. If you are headed to Mt. Bachelor from Bend, it’s on your right before you get to Bachelor. You need a sno-park pass to park there which is available through the Oregon DMV and various outdoor stores around Bend. Virginia Meissner sno park is one of the best places to go cross country skiing in Central Oregon because of its vastness of groomed trails and you don’t need an expensive ski resort pass to go there.
