If you lik...LOVE pancakes as I do, this might be the only thing to visit! BIG, TASTY, FAT pancakes that make you feel you are in heaven. Located in the old part of town you will have some time to walk of all the calories :)

In the summer time Pogačarjev trg hosts an event called Odprta kuhna (open kitchen). There you can eat freshly prepared food from THE best Slovenian restaurants with local chefs that present themself on this event. Food is prepared in front of you, so it is nice to watch and even nicer to eat. You can find all sorts of dishes, deserts, wines, etc. It only happens on Fridays from 10:00 to 21:00!
If you have time you should definitely check it out!
In case of heavy rain the event will probably be canceled.
