Nolo, North Loreto, is the name of the district you will be experiencing living in my house. It is a vibrant neighborhood. The name was invented by three Milanese architects, probably in a New York bar. They joked about creating a neighborhood brand along the lines of Soho or Tribeca. From a popular neighborhood, in recent years, it is increasingly turning into a creative neighborhood. A transformation that started from below, thanks to the commitment of citizens. Young people and artists begin to open various businesses. Many traditional places has been transformed into clubs, art studios, showrooms and design shops. In Nolo, the sense of belonging and community are very important values. Social media and above all the Nolo social District have played a very important role in this transformation. And here is the group for knitting (LaNolo), the group for photographers (PhotoNoLo) and then again GiraNolo, the SanNolo festival and even Cats of Nolo! There is an incredible multicultural air in the neighborhood. Designer shops mix with activities and restaurants from the most disparate cultures. In Nolo every corner is a discovery. For example, you can find a historic cinema that only shows films in the original language, a beautiful nineteenth-century church or a historic market. And for graffiti lovers, Via Pontano is an open-air urban museum. It is one of the longest street art in Europe. So, welcome in Nolo and enjoy this friendly district around you!
