A 30 minute drive but a unique place if you want to get out and walk. Mr Barber enjoys art and has fill the property with large sculptures and art pieces. Dinosaurs, BamaHenge(Stonehenge Replica), Fountains, Lady of the Bay, and many more things to see here. If you made it this far, you might as well go to Pirates Cove as you will probably be hungry and thirsty when you finish here(read my other post in the guidebook if you are interested) they are not far away from each other!!

Truly a locals favorite!! The best way to find this place is to find a local floating around the pool and offer them a couple of cold snacks to take you here by boat! If not it will be roughly a 30-40 minute drive. Supposedly said to be what inspired Jimmy Buffet’s “Cheeseburger in Paradise”, he did grow up in this area! It’s a unique Bar/Restaurant with a beach atmosphere. The doors are always propped open, dogs are welcome (inside and out) and as with most of the locals favorites, the drinks are cold and the food is good(I’m seeing a pattern here) If you’re the type of person who is concerned about what the health score of a restaurant is when you first walk in, then this probably isn’t the place for you(they have a great health score, again a dog/a local/a bug may walk/fly near the kitchen occasionally). If you you go the favorites are the cheeseburger, pizza, and a Bushwhacker for the adults!!! You will be here sitting next to a person on their last dime and on the other side a millionaire and you will never know it because you all look the same and are all having a good time. If you made it this far and have time left in the day, you might as well go to Barber’s Marina as you will probably need to walk off that Cheeseburger you just ate(read my other post in the guidebook if you are interested) they are not far away from each other!!

A laid back local bar/restaurant. May not be the best place to take the family ;-) but is known for their hamburger and cold beverages!!

A legend in itself, and is known world wide (Ok maybe only in the USA) the Flor-A-Bama is a bar on the Florida/Alabama line. Know for its laidback atmosphere, great music, and stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico. Home of the Polar Bear Dip(New Years Day), Mullet Toss (End of April), FloraBama Fishing Rodeo (Beginning of June), Bulls on the Beach ( Beginning of September), Song Writers Festival(Beginning of November),
