Great place to grab a snack and watch people take gliders off cliffs by the ocean. It is also right next to the Salk Institute. The institute is named after Jonas Salk, the man who developed the first safe and effective polio vaccine and chose not to patent it in order to maximize its global distribution. The building itself was designed by Louis Kahn and is an excellent example of Brutalist architecture.
