Poblanos is our favorite casual Mexican restaurant in Chattanooga. If you're in a hurry, this might not be the place to go; however, if time is on your hands and you want delicious cuisine and an amazing margarita, head here and ask for Carlos (Mondays and Tuesdays are his usual days off). Tell him, "Tony sent you and you want a GOOD margarita" and you won't be disappointed. Our favorite dishes are the Chimichanga and Enchilada Suizas. You can even get your margarita to go, and enjoy it as you stroll along the riverwalk.

If it’s a weekend or a holiday, expect a wait, but you can send the early riser of your group down in their PJs to put your name and number of people on the list and then come back to get dressed and wake the rest of the crew. They’ll text when your table is ready- it’s perfect! I simply have three words for Aretha Frankensteins- BEST PANCAKES EVER!!!

It's the perfect spot to bring a blanket or chairs down to the riverbank and watch the sunset over the cityscape and river. You can grab a meal here, rent bicycles here, launch your kayak or paddleboard from one of the public launches it offers, or rent one and they'll help you right down to the water. It has an antique carousel with some very cool history and an animal splash pad that can entertain the little ones for hours.

One of the best Aquariums in the United States! We have visited since our now late teen/adult children were small. It's expanded and grown and includes both water life from the oceans and rivers, which is very unique. Put aside an entire afternoon, if not day, to make sure you see it ALL!

I don't think we would call this a hiking trail, but it is definitely a beautiful walk. The trails take you to the top of Lookout Mountain where you can see 7 different states (with the right tools). The mountain itself is located where it touches Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia, but you can also see North and South Carolina, Kentucky and Virginia from the peak. That's pretty cool!

The mountain itself is located where it touches Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia, but you can also see North and South Carolina, Kentucky and Virginia from the peak. That's pretty cool!
Great location to rent a boat and set out on the river for a full or half day. They have brand new pontoon boats for rent and summer, spring or fall, it is a great launching point for a day on the water.
