Olympia House is a quirky mix of antiques centre, tearooms and local crafts rolled into one. I always leave with something.. be it a desk lamp, 12" vinyl or some sunglasses that went out of fashion in 1985!

Sightseeing
Sutton Scarsdale was once a rather stunning country home, with an estate being on this location for hundreds of years. Today it stands a ruin, but its free and on sunny days has a great outlook over the hills. Currently undergoing restoration.

Famous country house and gardens worth a visit if you've never been. It gets very busy in the summer at weekends, so plan ahead! You can always park at the garden centre and walk to the main house, which is usually easier.

Peak Rail is an excellent heritage railway thats affordable and fun. If you like trains.. it's fantastic, but if you don't like trains it's still a great day out. The railway runs between Rowsley and Matlock.

Hassop Station was once on the rural Manchester to Matlock / Derby railway but now it boasts a lovely tearoom / cafe and bookshop! Great for a walk along the Monsal Trail. Parking is available however if you stay for more than 2 hours you have to pay.

There are some amazing views to be had from the top of Curbar Edge - well worth a visit. On a clear day you can see for miles. There is a car park, and at weekends a great little cafe / coffee van. Some parking is charged, but if you find a space on the road its free!
