The highest village in Cornwall and right on Bodmin moor , lovely tea room and shop as well as the site of the Hurlers stones (3500 years old), and also the heart of the mining district with lots of old abandoned engine houses around the area, a 15 minute walk either way from the car park takes you to the cheesewrings ( Stowe hill) or to gold-diggers quarry both worth the walk.

we live in the little village of Upton cross but still have a lovely pub( (Caradon inn) with a little shop as well as Sterts Theatre which runs shows through out most of the year.
