Former Radar station from WWII, at one point there was a full compliment of 36 men at the unit. All buildings have since been removed but there is a nice ATV trail that leads up to the site and there are magnificent views of the Barrens and the Atlantic Ocean from there. You can also keep going on the main road and it takes you all the way across the top and down to Queensport on the Chedabucto Bay if you like. At one point along the road you can see both the Atlantic Ocean and the Chedabucto Bay. Really worth the walk to the 'summit' if you have time.

Drive or walk up a rough road for magnificent views of the Bonnet Lake Barrens Wilderness Area. A marvelous 360 degree view spreads out before you. You will see Chedabucto Bay, Tor Bay, Isle Madame, the Salmon River and the Roman Valley River. On a clear day you can see as far as 50 km. Take along a map and discover how many locations you can identify.
