The Weir is located just 1/2 mile's walk from your cottage, just outside the village offering great food from 10am - 9pm. Whether you just fancy a coffee and cake, or a hearty cornish breakfast, brunch, lunch coffee and delicious home-made cake or dinner. Great in the daytime as it has a kiddies play park and overlooking the nature reserve, you can watch the ducks and geese and other wildlife on the lake and also visit their shetland ponies.

Parks & Nature
Not hiking by any means, just taking a leisurely walk with your friends and family, You can walk from your cottage and within 1/2 mile be at the beginning of our Bude Canal Path, which runs along where horses used to pull the barges in from the sea into the inland planes. One path runs along the tow-path the other along the cycle trail. Either way is a nice way to walk into Bude. (about 2/5 miles) and watch the nature in the nature reserve along the way.

Typical Cornish Fishing Village, ravaged by floods back in 2004. There are still signs of how high the water rose, however the town recovered and came back stronger. Here you can just wander around, walk along the coast path and spot seals splashing in the sea. Grab either a cornish pasty, fish and chips or a cream tea, visit the witches museum and walk out to the edge of the harbour. There is also a FANTASTIC farm shop on the way into the village which is well worth a visit at any time of day as the food is DEVINE (also has a play area for kiddliwinks)
