A beautiful gem in Miami!! The property is huge and you could literally spend hours walking around and exploring every bit of it. Friendly volunteer staff; everyone was very pleasant.
There is a guided tram ride throughout the property that departs every hour. I highly recommend it.
Fairchild was founded on interesting concept. The gardens are stocked with plants from all around the world. Each of the plants are meticulously labeled and researched by some of the worlds leading botanists.
I particularly enjoy coming to their various festivals that they hold each year: mango festival, the bird festival, and the chocolate festival...

36850 Overseas HwyEssentially the entire island of Bahia Honda Key is a state park. Easily one of my favorite spots in the keys! The nature and scenery are awesome and there are beaches on the gulf and Atlantic sides. The view from the old bridge is amazing.
It has soft white sand and crystal clear waters. There are clean bathrooms and showers and a covered picnic area with grills.
There is a butterfly walking trail, guided tours, camping grounds and other services. It will cost $9 for two people to come in.
There are at least three parking lots at different parts of the park depending on what you want to accomplish.
The snorkeling is also very good and there is no doubt you will see some interesting !

Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park
Bill Baggs State Park is located at the very end of Key Biscayne . A beautiful park with bicycle trails, picnic and camping areas, and a long stretch of beach. I spent the day at the beach area, which is gorgeous and tranquil. The beach is very clean and has plenty of room to lay out and enjoy the sand. The water is very clear and shallow for a long way out. It is a great place to spend the day.
Even though the beach was crowded it was not difficult at all to find a spot. The beach is very long so even on the most gorgeous days you won't have to fight for space.
Sightseeing
Love South Pointe Park! Spending weekends walking, running, biking or just lounging, the park is perfect. The city has build it up with a little kid waterpark, a playground and a pier. Plus the new grass, landscape and dog park make it incredibly enjoyable.
Lots of grassy areas to be able to bring a blanket or a lawn chair and just sit back and relax while the kids play. There's a small snack shop on property as well serving froyo, smoothies and other snacks. Two giant thumbs up!

23 NE 41st St One of the best private collections of modern art I have ever had the privilege of seeing. You have to ring a bell to get in and sign the registry, but once inside, you will be treated to 3 floors of groundbreaking , floor to ceiling paintings, sculptures and installations.

There is a small museum gift shop which is amazing ! The second Saturday of the month when admission is free for everyone.

The Bal Harbour Shops is one of the few shopping places that I don't mind spending a day at. I absolutely love the fact that it is an outside mall and that it isn't that large. I can usually do my rounds here in a few hours, if even that. Parking is pretty easy and straight forward here. Just grab a ticket at the gate and proceed to park in the garage. Bal Harbour Shops
9700 Collins Ave The Bal Harbour Shops is one of the few shopping places that I don't mind spending a day at. I absolutely love the fact that it is an outside mall and that it isn't that large. I can usually do my rounds here in a few hours, if even that. Parking is pretty easy and straight forward here. Just grab a ticket at the gate and proceed to park in the garage. Charming book store that has something for everyone with an great cafe. Nice spot tucked away in the Lincoln shopping area. You could spend hours here browsing through their books. I enjoyed that they had a section in the front that the staff personally recommends and they write a small something about the book....

Over the past several months I've been doing a comparison of Fresh Market and the Publix that's right next door. Fresh Market is hands down a more pleasant experience. The store is much more aesthetically pleasing, the check out lines are generally shorter, and there are way fewer people in the store. Fresh Market also carries a lot of brands and food items I like that I can't find at Publix. However, Publix does have a larger selection overall.
But, the biggest question I wanted to answer was price. Who has the better prices? The answer is that it depends. When it comes to produce, both stores are pretty much neck and neck. Sometimes I find better deals at Publix, and sometimes at Fresh

This one is by far the smallest one. If you're a tourist, this location is perfect hence the smaller selection that you would find at a bigger Whole Foods. Since this is a smaller store, it can get crowded easily.
I like the outside sitting area. Its outside sitting area is perfect for people watching because the store is located on the corner of an intersection.
The service is pretty friendly, you run into lots of locals, and the produce is good as is the juice and pastry bars.

1920 West AveNice Publix in the Sunset Harbor neighborhood of Miami Beach. Very clean, great customer service and everything else you would want from a grocery store.
My favorite part about this particular Publix is that it has a multiple story parking garage. This comes in handy because often it's tough to find street parking. Also the parking is FREE.
The GO-TO store for cuban coffee, well-valued prepared meals + soups and international groceries. Decent inexpensive breakfasts. Pop in here all day. It's OPEN till MIDNIGHT !
