If you can grab reservations here, do so! One of the top restaurants in St. Louis, in my opinion. Not really family-friendly, but I don't think they would turn your kids away if you brought them. This is on the pricier side, depending on what you order.

This is about 15 minutes from our home, but worth the drive! An informal restaurant specializing in Balkan staples such as pide, lahmacun, döner & ćevapi. There is often a long line and they sell out sometimes. You won't be disappointed.

The most famous ice cream in St. Louis! They serve custard, not ice cream. They are famous for "concretes" which are custard with mix-ins of your choice. There will likely be a line on a hot day, but it does move quickly. If you want to look like a local, pop up the back of your SUV or van and sit on the tailgate while eating your ice cream.

Entertainment & Activities

Fun for kids and adults alike. It's hard to describe this place. A fantasy world of tunnels, art, and salvaged materials. This is a playground in a huge old warehouse. It sounds lame, but it should not be missed. There's even a bar! If you have very little kids, you might want to skip this one, as there are lots of tunnels they can disappear into and they might end up in a totally different section.

The ancestral home of the Busch family (of the Budweiser fame) can now be enjoyed as a fun day for the family. Plus you can enjoy free beer! Your experience begins with a tram ride through the Deer Park, where you will see many free-roaming animals. The tram will drop you off at our Tiergarten, where you can feed a variety of animals, including our goats – a guest favorite. You can also watch our new Grant’s Farm Animal Friends show, ride the carousel, and enjoy the grounds. At the Bauernhof, you can enjoy lunch at the Brat Haus before boarding the tram back down to guest parking. And don’t miss our world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales at the barn located in the guest parking lot. Note: there is an additional charge for animal feed, the carousel and some of the other attractions. In keeping with our 68-year tradition, admission to Grant’s Farm is free, courtesy of the Busch family ownership group and our premier sponsor Anheuser-Busch. However, we recommend you purchase your parking pass ahead of time. There are additional "add on" experiences that do cost money. https://grantsfarm.com/your-visit/
