Cherng Doi restaurant serves delicious Lanna style Thai food that is incredibly cheap. It's just off Nimmanhaemin Rd in a no name soi (opposite the pink Thai Government Savings Bank on Nimman). Superb roast chicken (Kai Yang), roast pork (moo tod) and spicy cucumber salad (somtaam tang). Food here is so scrumptious and cheap, but is now quite popular.

Sunday nights closed.

Elephant Nature Park is a private setting where about 60 elephants are cared for, after being rescued. Many have been phyically and emotionally damaged either by hard work or maltreatment. Well worth a visit. You will need to book, which we can take care of if required.
