An agave bar and what I consider, upscale Mexican food, Mountain Madre has a downtown location and another south east of town that they share with my favorite cocktail bar, Cultivated Cocktails. If you do visit the downtown location make sure to try a margarita flight!

This is the most “touristy” place that I’m going to recommend and it’s that way for a reason. The food is amazing! For a less crowded option, they have another location on Haywood Rd called Botiwalla that has several of the most popular menu items.

Don’t sleep on Zambras! I know that Curatè gets all of the hype for tapas in Asheville but this place is my choice every time! The atmosphere is second to none and the menu always leaves me scratching my head with the endless delicious options.

It’s a distillery, a bar supply superstore and cocktail bar all in one! They’ll make you the most delicious and unique cocktails that you’ve ever had, and sell you everything that you need to make them at home, right down to the candied orange zest and habanero simple syrup.

Get there before 4:00 for their boozy coffees! After that it’s just a very nice bougie cocktail bar with one of the best top shelf bottle selections in town.

Located in the newest hotel in Downtown Asheville, the Restoration, the cocktail bar is fun for the whole family, as long as they’re 21+. Excellent drinks, such as as espresso martini made with Cocoa Puffs, and tons of fun games, which are free at the time of writing this. Skee ball, Golden Tee, pinball, shuffleboard…there’s even a two lane bowling alley! (Not sure if the bowling is free)

Bent Creek is one of my favorite places to get out in nature. The trails are superb for hiking or biking and many are adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway for some spectacular views.

Make sure you cross the river for a Citradelic on the deck of New Belgium's Asheville brewery, over looking RAD and the French Broad River.
