Through exhibitions, courses, and programs, their collection of 20,000 historically and culturally significant artifacts tells global stories of people and their textiles, dress, and interior furnishings - how they are made and what they mean to us all. What began in the early 1950s as a small teaching resource for faculty in the former Department of Home Economics is now a renowned collection housed in an elegant state-of-the-art building open to both campus and community visitors.
