Every Sunday morning, this is where we go to have a coffee, meet neighbours, and get our produce. All local produce, vegetables, dairy, meat - whatever you need. A local winery sells from here also. It's a nice community atmosphere with local musicians playing, food trucks and tasty treats.

Montsalvat is a famous and unique artist colony in Eltham, built by Justus Jorgensen in 1934. Fabulous and unique buildings set amongst richly established gardens, art galleries, artists in residence, a nice restaurant.

Parks & Nature
If you are here in summer, Laughing Waters is the nicest local swimming section on the Yarra river. A gurgling river run across exposed rocks and a deep and wide area to float in. It used to be a secret, but lately it's grown quite popular so on Saturday and Sunday at the height of summer, cars will be lined up along the road. Access isn't particularly easy (a thin path down the steep bank) but it's worth it! It's always a good idea to check the water quality with the EPA before swimming in the Yarra, but most of the time, if it hasn't rained heavily, it's really fine.

We are very close to the Yarra River hiking and biking trails. Griffith Park is a nice place to start a walk away from the crowds.

Sweet little bar/restaurant in a laneway off Main Street. They also serve food, the chef is innovative and experimental. They often feature local wines and sometimes have food/wine tastings. A warm and cosy spot in winter.
