The best bread in Brooklyn (gf option). The line gets pretty long on the weekends, but believe us, this place is worth it. Rustic and thoughtful fare, super-friendly and knowledgable staff. A winner!

This is no ordinary beach... if you are a scavenger, then this is the place for you! In the early 1900s this was New York City's landfill. Then it was covered with a bunch of sand and used as an airfield. Now, it's neither, but the currents of the bay have been slowly eroding all the sand to reveal all the remnants of that early 1900... junk. It's totally bizarre and really cool. You will certainly run into some locals who pick though weekly looking for marbles, or military trinkets, or blue glass bottles.
