“The best overall southern fishery around. The fried catfish, seafood stew, & shrimp po’ boy’s are simply out of this world. Get there early if it’s the weekend. ”

“Great pizza and calzone in addition to good choice of craft local beer. There is a growler on top of the fridge if you want to take some to go.”

“Rocktown has a great tour. It is chock full of great information and has a tasting at the end. Don't forget to try the Bourbon Cream. It is delicious. The distillery has a bar for tastings without the tour as well. They have a full menu of cocktails made with their many different types of liquors. They have some snacks to purchase while you taste, but nothing cooked. Stop in for a taste before dinner at one of the many restaurants within walking distance of the distillery. ”

“Do you enjoy microbreweries? Check out Stone's Throw, which is literally a stone's throw away from the Mills-Davis House. (a couple blocks to the west but on 9th st.). They have a small bar and about three tables, with board games and some outdoor patio seating. You'll love it, because it is like having a beer in a friend's living room.”

Point of Interest
“This is best described as a large open-air FOOD HALL, with many small eateries in the perimeter, and shared seating at the center. In the summer months, there is a large farmers market outside on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The food offerings are fairly international in flavor, with Nepalese dumplings, Indian, Mediterranean, Thai, and a burger joint. This is good for lunch (not open on evenings) on days when everybody in your family is picky and wants to be able to order whatever floats their boat.”
