Lovely walks nearby along the cliff or more inland if you don't like heights! Loads of wild flowers and rare birds. Good café at the castle. Interesting exhibits are sometimes on view in the art gallery - check on line. Car parking at the castle has to be paid for but it is possible to park at a greater distance and walk to the castle. Look at local maps or ask for advice

Walk from Swanage, through the woods to beautiful Durlston Castle which stands within Durlston Country Park and nature reserve - stretching along the coastline south of Swanage. Enjoy amazing views, delicious food and drinks while you are there!

Very often do family friendly activities. Great place to view birds. Art gallery has great photography exhibitions or paintings too. Good during the Purbeck Arts week 27 May - 11 June.
