For authentic Mexican food this is the place. It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but the food is delicious and reasonably priced.

This is a tiny place that is not at all pretentious. It is modest, but the super quesadillas and other dining options at this tiny Mexican food spot are popular with locals as well as folks who travel through the area and know of it's well earned reputation. It does get quite a line on weekends during lunch or dinner time. If you want to eat at anything other than a picnic table, then you will need to take your order to go. People go to Gran Amigo for food not ambiance. It does however work really well if you are going to tour the Fitzgerald marine reserve. Bring a couple of lunch bags that are spill proof. Street side taco joint - huge quesadillas and burritos, and hot salsa fresca!! Yum! Very affordable and fast. Cures the crave.
