One of the nicest place to go for a run with a lot of trees for shade all the way through the 3/4 mile loop. There's also a really nice rose garden, library and kids playground and community pool!
McKinley Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Sacramento. Large enough for duck ponds, a large playground, soccer fields, baseball fields, tennis courts, and a pool. You will also find joggers and walkers getting some exercise on the path circling the park. One lap around the park is one…
Take your meal to the recently renovated pond at nearby McKinley Park, where 1,200 rose bushes in bloom from March through May. The garden was featured in Greta Gerwig’s 2017 film “Lady Bird”— a love letter to her hometown — which has inspired walking and running tours of the film’s locations.
For Runners: Take the extra bit around Park Way and it's a full mile loop. The trail is decomposed granite and easy on the knees. The playground is also amazing for kids.
A relaxing nature preserve featuring a rose garden, a seasonal pool, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball court, softball and soccer field, volleyball court, running trails, garden & arts center, picnic areas and library.

Museu de Arte
“It's worth checking out the original wing of the museum, housed in the 19th century home of the Crocker family. The more modern wing has both a permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. Check their site for special events and movies (indoor and outdoor). Free every 3rd Sunday!”

“Sacramento's #1 tourist spot. Souvenir shops, museums, great views of the river and the yellow Tower Bridge. Grab a bite on the Delta King boat or a drink in the Backdoor Lounge (a local favorite !).”
