One of the oldest buildings in Manchester with amazing history. Karl Marx & Friedrich Engels. Inside the School of Music. Open to the public. Absolutely unknown hidden gem. And FREE. A must see. Only open on weekdays unfortunately.

A secret small treasure. The oldest 'public' library in the UK. Well worth a visit. Make sure you find out when the tours are. You cannot enter the property without a guide since it is also a functioning music school. The building and small grounds are picturesque. Interior takes you back in time to the middle ages. Well restored.
