The Ferry Meadows Country Park is within the Nene Park and is a great place for families to get out and enjoy the natural environment. The lake is a perfect spot for renting rowing boats, pedal boats, paddleboards, kayaks and canoes. Birdwatchers will also love the bird hides that overlook Ham Mere.

There is something for everybody at Ferry Meadows. Imagine somewhere beautiful, safe and unspoilt where you can walk, cycle, play, horse-ride, ride a train, go fishing, exercise the dog, jog, push the buggy and explore endless meadows, lakes and woodland all less than three miles from Peterborough's busy city centre. You can relax at one of the cafes, find a nice spot for a picnic or fire up on one of the barbecue stands. Nene Outdoors Watersports and Activity centre offers a wide range of watersports too for adults and children alike and you can book the meeting room for events with a view of the lake.

Cycling, walking or sailing, Ferry Meadows has it all. Arrive early, equipment is available for hire. Great for children too with adventure playgrounds and nature walks. Don't forget to make time to try the local ice cream!
