Ask for a drive through pass at the gate. There are opportunities for high teas and concerts as well.
Glen Eyrie Castle was the home of town founder and Civil War here, General William Jackson Palmer. The Castle is a now a retreat center that offers lodging for guests throughout the year. It is such a spectacular location, vivid green grass, a wild herd of Bighorn Sheep that roam the area…
This is a one-of-a-kind historic property with gorgeous rock formations and a Scottish style castle.
Take a tour of the castle. You will learn so much about the great man who helped establish Colorado Springs. The grounds are amazing and sometimes you are lucky enough to see Big Horn Sheep, especially first thing in the morning.

“Located less than one mile from The Broadmoor, Seven Falls is one of Colorado’s most captivating natural wonders. This magnificent series of waterfalls is situated in a 1,250-foot-wall box canyon between the towering Pillars of Hercules. Take in stunning vistas of verdant valleys, striking rock formations and golden prairies as you climb the challenging 224 steps to the hiking trails and the banks of glistening streams that feed Seven Falls, and its 181-foot drop of falling water. If you’re looking for unforgettable sightseeing in Colorado Springs, this is it!”

“We LOVE our zoo! There are so many interactive exhibits and the zoo itself is situated on a beautiful mountainside that overlooks the city. Feeding the giraffes is always a highlight, and if you aren’t scared of heights, we highly recommend the sky ride (we like to bring a picnic lunch with us to the top). It can get very busy in the summer months, so going first thing or later in the day can be better to avoid crowds. Wear comfortable shoes because there’s a lot of uphill and downhill walking.”
