Right around the corner from the cottage is an excellent, solar-powered, 9-hole golf course. You will come across typical northern Michigan vegetation including birch groves and cattails. Beautiful scenery and you may even see a coyote or two!

What makes this a unique course is that it is the first solar powered golf course in the country. It is a 9 hole course with pretty flowing greens.

Northport, MI. One of Northport’s greatest charms is that it’s not on the way to anywhere. Perched at the end of the Leelanau Peninsula, Michigan’s “little finger,” the town of a few hundred people looks out on the crystalline blue waters of Grand Traverse Bay.
