Great place to walk/run surrounded by trees. There is a visitor's center with snakes for viewing and a lake with a dog park nearby. There are trails ranging from .5 miles to about 3.5 miles and maps to help you decide which path you'd like to travel.

Point of Interest
“The pier remains open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until December 31. The only time the pier will close is during extremely bad weather i.e. Nor'easters, hurricanes etc. All required fishing licensing has been purchased by the pier, so you do not have to have a license. However if you do have a current Virginia Salt Water Fishing License, you will receive $2.00 off of the adult admission. The daily pass is valid anytime between 6:00am - 6:00am in a 24 hour period. It has rest rooms, a snack bar, and bait shop. The T section at the end of the pier is 70 feet wide and 29 feet long. The pier also has two shelters, two fish cleaning stations, and an adjacent parking lot. ”
