Beach, Wild life refuge. One of the best kept beach secrets on the island. There is a huge pond on one side and the ocean beach on the other. The pond side attracts lots of families with kids but they tend to stay near the shore and with a few strokes you can enjoy the fresh water pond as if it were your own. Can rent kayaks and paddle boards. Limited parking. entrance fee and 5-7 minute walk but my most relaxing beach experience by far. Be prepared for a 2.5 mile bumpy road to entrance. Get there early or go after 3.

This place is right down the road! Go to the beach, catch a wave, or relax in the pond right across the sand. You'll have to purchase a daily permit, but it's totally worth it!

It's gorgeous and has both a southside beach w/surf as well as a barrier beach protected pond for little ones to safely enjoy. It is not mobbed with people, in fact, go early on nice beach days or the lot will fill before noon. There is a small parking fee but the beach and your sanity is worth it.
