It's going to sound weird, but this Rochester staple is must have! The "GARBAGE PLATE" isn't appealing by name, but it's amazing once you take a bite! At first you will stumble upon this culinary creation after a late night on the town, when nothing else is open... but then you will start eating it for regular meals like lunch and dinner. What is it?! Standard garbage plates will be served over potatoes and mac salad with your choice of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hotdogs, chicken fingers, or sausage, all smothered in onions and "hot sauce" which in Rochester is a spicy, ground beef sauce and is good on just about everything. (Try it on eggs!)
