This nearly 7-acre public space can be found in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood. Originally, this area was acquired by the WNYC radio station and used as the site of two broadcasting antennas —hence the name “Transmitter Park”—but today is a great gathering place boasting stellar views of the midtown Manhattan skyline and Empire State Building. To get to Transmitter Park, hop off the G train at Greenpoint Avenue and walk towards the waterfront.
