Josie's simple Studland South beach shack called Joe's Cafe South Beach is on your way to Old Harry Rocks from The Bankes Arms National Trust Car Park. It has wooden picnic tables (which you may have to share) on their sandy part of South beach. Try their delicious Jamaican Patties and ice creams. Buckets & spades for kids to use. In the evening pre-book Josie's paella meal (veggie, chicken, or fish). It's on Facebook, or ring Josie on +44 7931 325243 Bring your own (cushion for your bottom!) wine, beer, drinks and starters (olives, dips, crisps, etc.), then relax, eat your paella, watch the waves on the shore and perhaps go for a moonlight swim. I think you can even bring your own pudding??

Joe's café is the place to head for if you're hungry or thirsty and in the vicinity of Studland. Situated on South Beach, it's a beach hut style café offering organic soups, sandwiches, salads and Purbeck ice-cream. Ingredients are fresh and largely local and fair trade. You can even borrow buckets and spades and windbreaks!
