I like this little cafe for dolling itself up in the old basement furniture. They also do a fine job supporting local arts-- lots of readings and music. Plus, good fries and beer.

Wonderful live music and a great atmosphere. I would never miss this on a trip to Wellington, especially on a Sunday where they have a 10 piece big band.
