This place is an Aladdin’s cave of fabrics and trimmings for anyone interested in fashioning their own clothes or to get something made. The store is filled with bolts of fabric, and you have to really search the narrow rooms, but staff are lovely. If you search hard, you can often find end-of-roll fabrics once destined for Chanel and Savile Row. Look for the end-of-line, handwoven British coat woollen fabrics for a fraction of their intended retail price—they’re the highest quality and a poor fashion student’s heaven.
