Hiroshima City Forest Park (Insectarium) The Hiroshima City Forest Park Insectarium, a facility specializing in the exhibition of insects, boasts the largest number of species of live insects on display in all of Western Japan. The Insectarium includes "Insect Land", which, beginning with its "Pappilon Dome", where around 500 butterflies from 10 different species flutter about, displays 50 different species of insects all year round, ranging from those all around us to foreign species. The Insectarium also holds a wide range of events throughout the year, including special exhibitions based on seasonal themes, insect interaction experiences and outdoor insect observation activities.
