Didim is a cozy little holiday town near Aydın province. Activities can be carried out no matter if the season is winter or summer. It is a town where history meets nature, a source of life with the great weather. Being one of the ancient oracle sites, the Temple of Apollo and the Sacred Way connecting he temple with the nearby ancient city Miletus are spectacular cultural sites in Didim. Also nearby is the ancient city of Priene, with an amazing view of the Aegean Sea, to be enjoyed if you are physically fit enough to climb to the top of the ancient castle through the historical road in the city. There is also the renowned Beşparmak (Latmos) mountain, where you can see the rock paintings from 8000B.C., visit the altar of the moon goddess Selene, and listen to her stories. One of the interesting aspects of the rock drawings of Latmos is that they are depictinf family life, festivals, and celebrations. With no images of war or a fight! If you like to do sports, Didim is a favorite destination for outdoor recreation. Scuba Diving and Windsurf can be done throughout the year. Daily transportation to nearby scuba diving spots can be arranged, or the reef and the sunken ship in 3rd Beach of Didim can be discovered. If you like trekking, 1st and 2nd stages of the ancient Carian Trail can be discovered, which connects Alinda and Herakleia ancient cities and the nearby town Mylasa (Milas), witnessing the breathtaking nature and history merged into each other. Throughout your time in didim, we can help guide you in any outdoor activities you would like to carry out, and organise them.

1 Priene Priene on Wikipedia, at the base of an escarpment of Mycale (modern Mt. Samsun inside Dilek Peninsula National Park), used to be a major coastal city. Its harbour has since been silted up by the Meander River. It was the earliest town built on a grid plan. Priene was a member of the Ionian League, and is believed to have had 4,000-5,000 inhabitants at its peak. 2 Miletus Miletus on Wikipedia (Turkish: Milet), the greatest and the wealthiest of the Greek cities before the Persian invasion of the 6th century BC, was another major harbour city, its sailors having founded a huge number of colonies, especially around the Black Sea. 3 Didyma Didyma on Wikipedia was the sanctuary of Miletus, from where visitors approached by following a sacred path of 17 km on foot. Modern Didim, formerly a village named Yenihisar surrounding the ancient site, has been developed as a resort town in the 1980s. It is now centred around the Altınkum ("golden sand") beach south of the original village and has a vibrant British expat community.
