According to the finds and position, some will identify the Great Mrdakovica with the Liburnian settlement of Arauzona described by Pliny in their travelogues. Indeed, with thorough archaeological excavations, with rich finds of metal buckles and jewelery, old coins and fragments of glass and ceramics, we can safely assert that so. There was a set of residential buildings made of finely-cut stone, connected with clay and later plaster. The village was enclosed by ramparts built of broken stone and divided by streets. Some buildings had carved rainwater collecting tanks. Still, the greatest value is the wide variety of glass-colored dishware.
